The Gate

The core values are the foundations of the ministry that all the other ministries of the house must be built upon. It is not just what God has said through His word but what He is doing with us as His people.

• God is Love- 1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

• God Is Always Good- We work hard to always protect the truth that God is good.  He revealed Himself as Goodness to Moses in Exodus 33-34 and He must always be portrayed.  Ex. 33:19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.

• Who We Are- We are sons of God.  We have fully died to sin in the new birth and have risen in a new life to Jesus Christ.  Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.  We are no longer sinners but saints and sanctified.  We are new creations in Christ Jesus.  (2 Cor 5:17-21)

• Who Do We Belong To- We belong the Father and Jesus.  We have been bought with a price.  1 Cor. 6:20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

• We should experience the love of God- Eph. 3:14 For this reason seeing the greatness of this plan by which you are built together in Christ, I bow my knees before the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Eph. 3:15 For Whom every family in heaven and on earth is named [that Father from Whom all fatherhood takes its title and derives its name]. Eph. 3:16 May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality]. Eph. 3:17 May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love, Eph. 3:18 That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it]; Eph. 3:19 [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]! Eph. 3:20 Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]—(Amplified)

God has translated us into the kingdom of love- Col. 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

We must fully preach the gospel with signs and wonders- Rom. 15:18 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed, Rom. 15:19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

Honor is key to ministry- Matt. 13:57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. Matt. 15:4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. Matt. 15:6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. Matt. 19:19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Mark 6:4 But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.

It is the individuals job to humble himself, with the reward that God will exalt them- 1 Pet. 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Matt. 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

Must be a people of risk- We are a house of risk; willing to boldly go where no man has gone before. To move in faith means we will not always get it right the first time. This will require us to walk in mercy and applaud those who take chances. We must encourage them to try again even if it should not work out the first time. (Matt 14:29-31)

A thankful heart is a key to increase- 1 Th. 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. A grateful heart opens us up to receive more from the Father. Romans 1:21; Col 3:15

We are to bring restoration -Scripture declares that Jesus is retained in the heavens until the restoration of all things. We have been given the amazing assignment to restore our cities and communities by the gospel of the Kingdom. Acts 3:19-21

Live in the Testimony- If we live in the testimony of what God has done we will not have to live in the need. Scripture is full of His testimony and the word means to do it again. Scripture also tells us to live in that place and meet Him there. Rev 19:10; Psalm
